RHUC is an affirming ministry, celebrating diversity and committed to the inclusion of, and justice for, all people, regardless of race, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ability, economic circumstance, or any other difference that has led to exclusion, marginalization, or oppression within the church or society. It combines a liberal theology with an active commitment to social justice issues. Reflecting this, its membership is diverse culturally, socio-economically, and in terms of traditional and non-traditional family structures.
RHUC is recognized for the quality of its worship services and for other programming for adults and younger people.
