Established in 1982, Markham Youth Theatre is a not for profit, community theatre company run by youth for youth. We strive to bring artistically challenging, professional calibre productions to the Markham area.

It is our mission is to ensure that young people have the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills in both performance and the technical aspects of theatre, in addition to learning about what it means to work as a part of a production team and what it takes to produce a show and run a company.

We pride ourselves on creating safe spaces for young artists to learn and grow and be a part of something special.
