Counselling
E.T.A. Vaughan
E.T.A. Vaughan is an emergency shelter in the City of Vaughan for women and their children escaping abusive situations across all communities in the Greater Toronto Area. The shelter is open and welcomes to all religious and cultural groups, providing vegetarian, halal and kosher foods when necessary.
ETA Vaughan clients are provided with a warm and loving home environment as well as counselling, programs, and activities for themselves and their children if desired.

Family Services York Region
FSYR has professional counselors who are members of the LGBT community and experienced in LGBT related issues to offer individual, couple and/or family counselling. The service is aimed at assisting individuals facing issues such as, coming out, sexual and gender orientation issues, life transitions, family relationships, work place discrimination, and aging.


York Region Health Services
York Region Health Services provides free and confidential clinics to people of all ages.
Services include: counselling and education on sexual orientation, relationships and STIs, as well as STI testing, treatment, hepatitis immunization, pregnancy testing and low cost birth control.
Anonymous, rapid (finger-prick) HIV testing is available at Markham, Newmarket and Richmond Hill clinics.
Homeless Youth
Homebase: Youth Drop-In Shelter
Home Base provides shelter, support and solutions to youth aged 13-24 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in need of help getting a job or returning to school. Located in Richmond Hill (next to a Viva bus stop) and 100% gay friendly.

Newmarket Youth Shelter
The Newmarket Youth Shelter is a shelter for homeless male youth (aged 16-25) providing food, shelter, individual and group counselling, referral to appropriate services, upgrading and job search assistance.
