Community Crisis Response Service
For York Region residents who are experiencing a mental health crisis, and their family or friends, York Support Services Network offers the Community Crisis Response Service, or 905-310-COPE.
By calling 905-310-COPE(2673), individuals are connected with a crisis response professional, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. The crisis worker will provide an immediate response in a variety of critical situations, including: depression, intensive feelings of distress, loneliness, anxiety or fear, thoughts of suicide, feelings of rage, hopelessness or despair.
The Community Crisis Response Service, through community partnerships, supports children and adolescents in York Region who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

A supportive place in Richmond Hill where people can drop in, meet other people, participate in the ongoing activities and help to start new initiatives. The Krasman centre is also the home of the Kevin McBean LGBT book library.

York Region Abuse Program (YRAP)
York Region Abuse Program regularly offers a Gay
&
Bisexual Men's Therapy Group for individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. These free 10-week groups meet in Richmond Hill between the hours of 6:00-8:00 pm, to:
· Provide a support network of other gay and bi men who share similar feelings, concerns and experiences
· Increase understanding about healthy sexuality and establishing boundaries
· Increase coping, communication, problem solving and stress management skills
· Provide community resources and referrals

York Region Health Services provides free and confidential clinics to people of all ages.
Services include: counselling and education on sexual orientation, relationships and STIs, as well as STI testing, treatment, hepatitis immunization, pregnancy testing and low cost birth control.
