Information for Website Administrators
The following sections describe ways in which it is possible to access details of upcoming events from our event calendar.
Inclusion within an IFRAME
You can display our event calendar on a page of your own website, within an IFRAME. When a listed event is clicked, a detailed page for that event will open in a separate window.
To do this, you will need to include the following HTML within your webpage:
<IFRAME SRC="http://GayYorkRegion.com/event/index.phtml?target=iframe" WIDTH="100%" HEIGHT="300px" STYLE="border: 1px solid;"> </IFRAME>
This will appear on your webpage as follows:
Please note:
  • The IFRAME HEIGHT, WIDTH and STYLE values can be set according to your preference. However, we recommend a width no less than 400 pixels. Small width values may result in an horizontal scrollbar.
  • You can show the events for a single business or organization alone by adding &resourceid=n at the end of the SRC value, i.e. after target=iframe, where n is the resource id for the business or organization. To discover the resource id of a business or organization, find it in our resource directory and click to show the detail page. Then right-click the Add Rating button and open the rating screen in a new window. In the new window, the address bar will contain a URL that includes the resource id.
  • If you have an advertiser account, you can show just the events related to your own business(es) or organization(s) by adding &advaccountnumber=n at the end of the SRC value, where n is your advertiser account number.
iCalendar format
Upcoming event items from our event calendar can be accessed in iCalendar format.
For more information about iCalendar format, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICalendar

  • startDay=

  • monthCount=

When this parameter is included, the content type will be set to text/plain in order to display the ics file.
