| Detailed planning activities commenced this month for our annual 'York Pride Fest' pride week festival. This year, pride week in York Region is June 7th-14th.
It seems likely that several new pride week events will be staged this year, including a community multi-faith pride church service in Richmond Hill, as well as the picnic/bbq, youth event, social evenings and library displays. York Region's LGBT organizations (including Gay York Region) will participate once again in Toronto's pride parade on June 28th, and take part in Toronto's community fair on Church/Wellesley over the weekend of June 27/28. There are also plans for a one or two day film festival later in the summer.
